These are a couple of local events for all you folks in the Salt Lake City, Ogden and Provo areas. Kevin Johnson will be speaking at two events on February 19th.  Both are free events!

Addressing the Real Issues Around Compliance in the Cloud Panel
 
Secure Ideas is excited to announce that Kevin Johnson will be speaking as part of a panel later this month.  On February 19th in Salt Lake City, Utah, the Addressing the Real Issues Around Compliance in the Cloud panel will be held at The Tower at Rice-Eccles Stadium.  This panel will run from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Faced with HIPAA, PCI, FISMA and much more, CIOs and their IT teams need to proactively manage their compliance and security. Assessing compliance requirements, the role of service providers BAs and much more are now within the domain of the CIO. You need to be ready.

The panel will discuss:

  • capitalizing on the benefits of the cloud while maintaining compliance
  • separation of responsibility with service providers
  • building a layered compliance approach
  • how your CIO peers are managing their compliance

The panel will be moderated by Andy Schroepfer and include Howard Asher, Chairman of Abnology, Annalea Sharack, Technical Director at ViaWest, Jessica Johnson, Delivery Manager of Axiom Recovery, and Kevin Johnson, CEO of Secure Ideas.

Ninja Assessments: Stealth Security Testing For Organizations

Kevin Johnson will present to the tech community at Startup Ogden on the topic of Web App and Mobile Security. Organizations today need to be able to easily integrate security testing within their existing processes. In this talk, Kevin Johnson of Secure Ideas will explore various techniques and tools to help organizations assess the security of the web applications. These techniques are designed to be implemented easily and with little impact on the work load of the staff.
